Because the moisture is still there. Removing mold without fixing the leak, condensation or ventilation problem behind it just resets the clock.
Can I clean mold myself?
Small spots on hard surfaces often can be. Larger areas, mold that keeps returning, or growth in drywall, insulation or ductwork should be inspected first. Our guide covers where the line is.
Is mold covered by insurance?
Usually only when it comes from a sudden, covered water event like a burst pipe. Mold from long-term leaks or humidity is often excluded. We document the source so the claim is decided on evidence.
Do you test for mold?
Yes. Inspection and testing come first: moisture mapping, air sampling where it’s needed and a written report before any work starts.
Can I stay in the house during remediation?
Usually. The work area is sealed off and kept under negative air so spores don’t spread to the rest of the house.
Do you do the repairs too?
Yes. Once the source is fixed and the growth removed, Bear’s own construction team rebuilds the room. No hand-off to another contractor.
