Full Service Construction, Restoration, and Home Services

A standard drain snake is a piece of cable with a cutting head that pokes a hole through whatever is blocking your line. It works for most clogs. For some, it does not. Years of grease buildup. Tree roots that have grown into the pipe and woven a mat across the inside. Heavy mineral deposits in older cast iron. For these situations, you need something that does not just poke a hole through the clog but scours the pipe interior clean. That is what hydro jetting does for NWA homes and businesses dealing with drain and sewer issues that snaking cannot solve.

Recurring clogs you cannot seem to fix? Call Bearnwa at 479-321-1313. Hydro jetting is part of our full Drain & Sewer Services lineup.

What Hydro Jetting Actually Is

A hydro jetter pushes water through a specialized nozzle at pressures between 1,500 and 4,000 PSI. The nozzle has multiple jets aimed forward and backward. Forward jets cut through the clog. Backward jets propel the head through the line while scouring the pipe walls from all angles.

The result is a fully cleaned pipe interior, not just a hole through the blockage. Grease coatings get blasted off. Roots get cut into manageable pieces. Mineral scale gets eroded back to bare pipe wall. For a deeper look at when this matters most, see our piece on what is hydro jetting and when do you actually need it.

When Hydro Jetting Is the Right Tool

Recurring clogs. If you have cleared the same drain three or more times in a year, snaking is not solving the actual problem. Hydro jetting addresses the underlying buildup, not just the symptom.

Grease and food buildup. Heavy grease accumulation in kitchen lines and main lines responds poorly to mechanical snaking and very well to hot water jetting.

Tree root intrusion. A snake cuts a path through roots but leaves most of the mass in place to regrow. Hydro jetting removes nearly all the root material and lets us follow up with root inhibitor treatment.

Restaurant and commercial drains. High volume grease and food waste accumulates fast. Many NWA restaurants schedule quarterly hydro jetting as preventive maintenance.

Before pipe lining or relining. Trenchless sewer relining requires a fully clean pipe interior. Hydro jetting prepares the surface so the lining bonds properly.

Pre purchase home inspections. When buying an NWA home with mature trees, hydro jetting followed by drain camera inspection reveals true pipe condition.

When Hydro Jetting Is Not the Right Tool

Single fixture, fresh clogs. If only one drain is slow and the cause is a simple recent clog, snaking is faster and cheaper.

Severely deteriorated pipes. Hydro jetting pressure can finish off pipes that are already cracked, collapsed, or severely corroded. Camera inspection first confirms the pipe can handle the pressure.

Some older pipe materials. Galvanized steel, very thin cast iron, and some clay pipes can be damaged by high pressure water. We inspect first and choose the right approach.

What an NWA Hydro Jetting Service Costs

Application Typical NWA cost
Single residential line $385 to $585
Main residential sewer line $485 to $785
Hydro jet plus camera inspection $585 to $985
Commercial property (per hour) $185 to $285
Commercial kitchen grease line clearance $485 to $1,200

Costs vary with access conditions, pipe length, and severity of buildup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hydro jetting safe for residential pipes?
Yes when used appropriately. We inspect first, set the right pressure for the pipe material, and use the right nozzle for the application.

How long does a hydro jetting visit take?
Most residential jobs run 90 minutes to 2 hours including setup and verification.

Will hydro jetting clear tree roots permanently?
It clears them effectively but they grow back over time. Combining hydro jetting with root inhibitor treatment extends the clear period to 12 to 24 months. Severe root cases may need pipe repair or replacement.

Do you offer hydro jetting as a preventive service?
Yes. Several NWA restaurants and apartment communities have us on quarterly or annual hydro jetting schedules.

Stop the Buildup Cycle

If standard snaking is not fixing your recurring drain problem, the issue is buildup that needs cleaning, not just clearing. Bearnwa handles hydro jetting across NWA daily.
