Terms & Conditions
- Membership Overview
The Bear Home Services Membership (“Membership”) provides proactive maintenance, diagnostic services, and priority response for residential plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as outlined in Membership materials.
Membership benefits are available only during an active, paid membership term.
- Membership Plans & Included Service Visits
Membership includes the following annual service visits based on the selected plan:
Essential Care Membership
- Two (2) HVAC service visits per membership year
Complete Care Membership
- Two (2) HVAC service visits per membership year
- One (1) plumbing service visit per membership year
- One (1) electrical service visit per membership year
Use of Service Visits
Included service visits may be used for:
- Diagnostics
- Preventative maintenance
- Minor repairs
Each visit includes:
- Professional labor
- Standard system diagnostics
Exclusions
Included visits do not cover:
- Replacement parts, materials, or equipment
- Major repairs or system replacements
Any additional work will be:
- Clearly recommended
- Quoted in advance
- Completed only with customer approval
- Additional Systems
Additional systems beyond those included in the selected Membership plan may be serviced for an additional fee, as outlined in current Membership pricing.
- Lifetime Labor Warranty (Limited)
Bear Home Services provides a Lifetime Labor Warranty on qualifying work performed under this Membership, subject to the following:
- Applies only to the original customer and service address
- Valid only while the original customer owns the home
- Non-transferable to subsequent owners or parties
- Covers labor performed by Bear Home Services only
- Does not include parts, materials, or equipment unless stated in writing
- Warranty Exclusions
The Lifetime Labor Warranty does not apply to:
- Work altered, modified, or repaired by others
- Misuse, neglect, or lack of proper maintenance
- Pre-existing conditions not addressed during service
- Manufacturer defects or equipment failure
- Acts of nature or external/environmental conditions
- Normal wear and tear
Bear reserves the right to inspect and verify any warranty claim prior to performing warranty work.
- Service Scope Limitations
Membership services are intended for standard residential systems and do not include:
- Major system replacements
- Extensive repairs beyond minor service scope
- Code upgrades unless required as part of a repair
- Commercial or multi-family properties unless explicitly agreed
- Scheduling & Priority Service
Members receive priority scheduling, including expedited service when available.
Response times (including statements such as “1 hour or less”) are targets, not guarantees, and may vary based on:
- Weather events
- Service demand
- Safety conditions
- Technician availability
- Pricing & Renewal
- Membership is billed annually at the current published rate
- Membership automatically renews unless canceled prior to the renewal date
- Pricing may change upon renewal with prior notice
- Cancellation Policy
- Membership may be canceled at any time
- No refunds will be issued for partially used terms
- Unused service visits do not roll over to future terms
- Access & Safety
Customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
Bear reserves the right to refuse or reschedule service if:
- Unsafe working conditions exist
- Systems are inaccessible
- Required utilities are unavailable
- Limitation of Liability
Bear Home Services is not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- System failure or property damage outside the scope of work performed
- Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in the Bear Home Services Membership, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
- Membership Intent
Membership is designed for ongoing maintenance, proactive care, and minor repairs. It is not intended to replace major repair or replacement services.
